DETERMINING IMPORT REQUIREMENTS
It’s often difficult for importers of products to determine the standards or regulatory requirements for products that they wish to import.
IABSI is not an information resource for importers. There are several websites which contain information on requirements that apply to imported products (such as whether they need to be certified as meeting particular standards)
There may also be regulations relating to your product that require particular certifications.
DETERMINING EXPORT REQUIREMENTS
When manufacturers are seeking to export products it is often difficult for them to determine the standards and requirements that the products must meet to be accepted by the importing country.
IABSI does not hold definitive information on export requirements.
We can provide advice where we have internal expertise, however we don’t have all the answers.
